Hopper shows over 250 photos of Royal Ruby and related glass, and reproduces several catalog pages. Also included are several experimental pieces, history of Royal Ruby, and a look at the many bottles produced in Royal Ruby.
Hopper's reseach skills and credibility shine through in the defining work on Anchor Hocking's Royal Ruby glassware. He identifies and provides useful measurements for every piece, and takes great care in explaining confusing topics. Hopper shows several pieces that I had never seen before or wasn't sure were truly Royal Ruby. Prices are generally accurate, although common items may be a bit high, and rare items a bit low. I've found this book extremely useful, and not only for Royal Ruby.
