Depression glass in full color from "Adam" to "Windsor," including value guide. Many pieces are shown in each pattern, and there is a section at the back of the book about reproductions and how to identify them. Read the text descriptions carefully: when only one piece of a pattern has been reproduced, Mr. Florence will mention it here.

If you are a depression glass collector, and if you can have only one book, this is the book to have! The full-color pictures are, for the most part, very clear and show as many items in the given pattern as possible. The text is extremely informative and is written in a "folksy" style. Reading how the values were derived (in the introduction) is a must! Two negative aspects of the book, however, should be pointed out. First, because there have been so many previous editions, Mr. Florence sometimes refers in the text to a photo published in a previous edition. Second, a few of the photos are faded, making identification of the particular pattern difficult. You may feel the need to find earlier editions of this book.
