Fostoria Vol. II: An Identification and Value Guide to Etched, Carved, & Cut Designs

This book is a listing of the vast variety of etchings and cuttings used by Fostoria in alphabetical order by name. Fostoria's cutting or etching number is listed after the name, but there is no cross reference by number. There are 16 pages of color photos at the beginning of the book. The remainder of the illustrations and line drawings are in black & white.

This book is a very comprehensive reference for Fostoria etchings and cuttings, however it is somewhat difficult to use. If you do not know the name of the cutting or etching you are searching for the only way to find it is to flip through the pages hoping that the sometimes crude line drawings match what you are trying to ID. While an excellent book for the veteran Fostoria collector it probably isn't a good choice for a novice. The pages that I've found most useful are the updates to volume I in the back of the book that includes 1962 catalog reprints for American, Century and Coin Glass patterns.
