This is the third book (in a series of four) published by a mother daughter team, and is an excellent continuation of their previous book. This book covers glass produced by the Fostoria Glass Company from the end of WWII until the factory closed in 1986. There is a brief history of the company during this time period illustrating the change in American tastes from the full service dinnerware lines of the Depression and post war years to the giftware and accessory lines produced from the 1960's on. The material is well organized, with sections for pressed patterns, etchings, cuttings, and the various collections that made up their production in the later years (Milk glass, Ebony glass, lead crystal, etc.) There are nice color photos interspersed with lots of large, well labeled pictures from Fostoria's own catalog pages. Pricing is thorough, giving individual prices for various colors, where applicable. With the information provided, it easy to identify exactly which piece you have. The patterns are presented in numerical order, by line number, but an index provides an easy cross reference by pattern name.

I highly recommend it. This book provides detailed coverage of the last forty years of Fostoria's production. It fills a void left by many of the other Fostoria references on the market which tend to concentrate more on the Depression Era patterns. It is a must have for the serious Fostoria collector as well as the general interest seller.
