First in a series of three, Volume 1 covers topics alphabetically from A-Cane. Major topics include Animals, Beaded Block, Black Glass, Cambridge reissues, Candlesticks, and of course Candlewick. The color section pictures 890 items with full descriptions and prices.
The book is called an encyclopedia and really reads like one. Patterns, cuttings, etchings, colors, and item types are all listed alphabetically. I learned so much about Imperial, including many things I would never have suspected of them. The color photo section is gorgeous but has one caveat. The items pictured aren't neccesarily discussed in this volume. Because of the cost, I was at first hesitant to buy. Now that Antique Publications has this book on sale, it, and the other two volumes, are definitely worth buying.
