PYREX By Corning: A Collector's Guide

This is the most comprehensive work available on Corning’s “wonder glass,” PYREX. Rogove and Steinhauer meticulously researched the different phases of PYREX manufacture and established the production dates of many specific pieces. The book is divided in 7 general sections: history, advertising, trademark identification, clear ovenware, FLAMEWARE, colored kitchenware, and miscellaneous (including foreign-made PYREX and children’s sets). In many sections, the discussion is further organized by production years or lines. Many pieces, both familiar and unique, are pictured in the 40-page color section, with corresponding values listed in the price guide. A small sampling of shown items includes pie plates, mixing bowls, refrigerator dishes, promotional casseroles, FLAMEWARE saucepans, and percolators.

If you are interested in collecting PYREX, this book would be an excellent resource with the rich information and clear pictures provided by the authors.
