This book is a history of the Riverside Glass Works of Wellsburg, W. VA composed from 233 trade journal entries. It also contains 13 factory catalog pages, 5 US patents, 92 trade journal advertisements, 280 photographs of which 177 are in color, 52 different kerosene lamps, 51 different tableware patterns, as well as novelties and stationer's glass. A separate price guide is included and it is spiralbound.

I find this an excellent reference for identifying patterns of colored Early American Pattern Glass. Although it only contains the items of one company, they were obviously a leader in the industry at the time they were in business. The photos, trade journal ads and patent papers have such clarity that you can easily pick out the details in a pattern. They mostly made table sets, water sets, berry sets and oil lamps. This is a great reference for the lamp collector also. I highly recommend this for any collector of 19th century glass.
